Update specs to use Power*Architect

Daniel Murray
Hi all,

Just to contribute a small note to the effect that http://pub.eigenbase.org/wiki/LucidDbPowerArchitect (P*A) should be updated in regards to the driver / connection parameters being used in luciddb-0.9.2 release. Previously these were "rmi" and currently these should be:

Database Connection Manager - Add Jar (example):
Name: LucidDb
Driver Class: org.luciddb.jdbc.LucidDbClientDriver
Connection string template: jdbc:luciddb:http://localhost

New Connection:
Connection Name: LucidDb
Database type: LucidDb
Connect Options:
JDBC URL: jdbc:luciddb:http://localhost
Username: sa
Password:"" (ie: blank)

Adjustment requiered in pl.ini: Following is how this section of the pl.ini file should read (## is the Database_Type that P*A created in the previous steps...):
[Database Types_##]
Name=LucidDb
JDBC URL=jdbc:luciddb:http://localhost
JDBC JAR_0=my_drive:\my_luciddb_path\plugin\LucidDbClient.jar
JDBC JAR Count=1
ca.sqlpower.architect.etl.kettle.connectionType
DDL Generator=ca.sqlpower.architect.ddl.GenericDDLGenerator
ca.sqlpower.architect.profile.ColumnProfileResult$AverageSQLFunction=AVG(:)
ca.sqlpower.architect.profile.ColumnProfileResult$StringLengthSQLFunction=LENGTH(:)
ca.sqlpower.architect.profile.ColumnProfileResult$CaseWhenNullSQLFunction=CASE WHEN : IS NULL THEN : END
JDBC Driver Class=org.luciddb.jdbc.LucidDbClientDriver

The above for W/XP SP2.

Hope this helps. Regards,
DMurray3

I've updated http://pub.eigenbase.org/wiki/LucidDbPowerArchitect with screenshots for the new HTTP driver.

Also, it appears as if the newest release of Power*Architect much of the pl.ini file can be edited from the "Advanced" tab for drivers now.

Thanks Daniel!
